He is the character that is most associated with Enid Blyton since his creation 60 years ago. Noddy is extremely popular and has a great wealth of merchandise attached to his name. Blyton originally wrote only 24 Noddy books, but he had the greatest timespan of all of her series.

So her daughter who is named Connie comes to stay with Jo, Bessie, and Fanny.

She gets a few surprises when she goes to the lands that the top of the tree has to offer. She is able to set up a surprising cake shop. In the next few years, the couple moved several times, and finally ended up in a house in Beaconsfield Green hedhes where she spent most of her time there.
In her marriage with Pollock started to disintegrate. Blyton was spending so much time writing. Her husband was also dedicated the time with his writing about the First World War.
He then became depressed and turned to alcohol. Later on the pair ended up in divorce. In , she married her second husband-Kenneth Fraser Darrell waters - a London surgeon in Her ex-husband married Ida Crowe and had another daughter Rosemary Pollock.
Her distinguished works involved around 3 themes. First Series was about children in odd circumstances, being adventurous with crime solving skills. This series were the most famous work of Blyton. And finally, the third theme was fantasy and magical where children get to meet fairies, elves, goblins, pixies.
The series included The Faraway Tree. The early book of Noddy were collectible along as wel as others by Enid Blyton. The book is about Noddy-the wooden boy who lived in Toyland. Noddy was first carved in the toy store and ran away from the wooden lion which was made by the same man. He wandered through the woods and made friends with gnome.
Noddy earned his right to live in Toyland by proving to the court that he was a good toy, and he saved the little girl from lion. His subsequent books, Noddy received the car and helps solve mystery. There is no known exact numbers of Noddy book, certainly more than 2 dozens.
Sales of the series were large, grew popularity through France and India. There is an adaptation of Noddy in to TV series up until The cast were very large, including many children and teenagers and it went on for several years. The series feature the adventure of three siblings-Julian, Dick, Anne and Georgina and their dog-Timmy. These children and the dog would go through series of adventures and solve crimes.
Sometimes, these 4 children and Timmy would be joined with other characters such as: The gypsy girl Jo, Henrietta, Scooty and Tinker. Due to the success and popularity of the collection which originally intended for 6 to 8 books expanded to be 21 books. The series were broadcasted in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. There were full casts and crews features the adventure of the group of these four children and the dog.
It was biographical film of Enid Blyton. In the film, Blyton was portrayed as a dedicated woman who struggled to balance her roles between wives, mother and extraordinary author. Helena Bonham Carter played Enid Blyton in the film. Even though there was no mention that her popularity being jeopardized, many readers disapproved of her works for many reason. This led to the altered reprints. Some were banned from the libraries. Chorian revised the contents in her books that were noted to be sexist or racist.
For example, Blyton would use the word Nigger instead of Negro, which was deemed to be unacceptable. Some said that her views of the world were not realistic or some habits of boy characters in her books, were not appropriate for young children. The makers of her books were not allowed on air at the time. However in , her work were broadcasted again but were acknowledged to be those of qualities.
