I had the Inspire Sleep device surgically implanted about two years ago. The surgery was more difficult than I expected. The device did not work properly.

I went in to have the device adjusted a couple of times but it still did not work properly. I would go to sleep with it on but when would wake up during the night the shock would not allow me to return to sleep. The problem was that at the lowest setting the shock was still too strong. They were going to look at the tests.

A couple of months later they wanted a chest X-ray. I got one and the results went back to them. Then they wanted a cd of the actual X-ray.

I sent it to them over a month ago. I have still not heard one word from Inspire Sleep. And remember this. It is also major surgery to have it removed.

How is it replaced and is that covered by Medicare? If not what happens when the battery corrodes inside your body? How long do batteries last? Is there any vibration or sound when using and off?
